The appealing Zomato Meetup photos which we were not invited to got us tempted to try this place.
Now this restaurant TRE is located on the 49th floor of the Radisson Royal. It not only has a stunning view, it’s decked up in a royal manner, you walk in from the direct lift and you feel like you’ve entered a Royal Ball. It’s extended to the 50th floor that is the lounge and 51st floor has a bar & also a private dining area. Royal hotel it is after all, living up to its name and repute.
Went in for lunch, did make reservations. They’ve a set menu which seemed interesting but opted for ala carte.
We were served with a complimentary bread n dip tray. The dips tasted so delicious that I knew we are in for a treat.
Had a Mazzancolle Cesare, which is tiger prawns, Roman lettuce, crispy beef bacon with serrato anchovies.
My friend had Uovo 62degrees Truffle Noir, egg, asparagus, black truffle and macadamia .. Slurp Slurp Slurp … Delicious ! Coming from someone who doesn’t touch anything that has truffle I tasted a spoonful and it was out of this world.
For our mains, a Squid Ink Risotto and mine was a Veal Agnolotti.
I wanted to walk away from the table hearing the Squid Ink name but the 62 degree gave me hope and to my surprise TRE lived up to its name. It was so yummy and I’m anti risotto but this place got me thinking I need to reestablish my eating outlines.
Veal Agnolotti was finished in a fraction of minutes, needless to say it was cooked to perfection.
Couldn’t leave without trying the dessert so we had the restaurant classic. It was chocolate green tea cake and pana cotta. It was a good portioned perfect tasting dessert.
I had my after coffee along with it.
This place is a definite go again, you’ll be refreshed and relaxed after dining here. Yes it’s fine dining Italian with a Mediterranean twist which is visible in every dish on the menu.
